| It felt as though i never left iraq... i know that sounds weird and its unexplainable on top of that. I felt uneasy back home... and small startling events kept me there. For instance my wife was just playing a joke on me and gave a little scream as i eased out of our driveway. That scared the CRAP out of me... situations where your life is in danger become much more realistic and startling after experiencing war. She felt bad cuz it affected me so much but it wasn't her fault and i wasn't mad... just shaken up. Loud noises made me jump for about the first 4-5 days. Garbage trucks setting dumpsters down and stuff. When i came back it was as tho i never left. First day in i picked up my weapon, ammo, and got right back into the swing of things... it was no big deal. Who knows tho... I hope the effects are not too permanent when i'm home for good. :(
